Jim LeMaitre, the writer for the Starburst contradiction spots, has a track record for comedic commercials. In 2006 STEP Inside Design magazine recognized him for a handful of humorous commercial ads he helped develop.
Starburst's new contradiction commercials are completely irreverent, and some might even consider them borderline racist. Regardless, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the ad before a recent screening of Inglorious Basterds.
The ad, created by TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York, pairs a couple of kilt wearing Scotch-Koreans musing over the contradictions before them, including the juicy Starburst and an albino lifeguard.
